Little did Rick know at the time that Eaton Cutler-Hammer was a High Reliability Organization who led its industry in quality, safety, and productivity. Eaton’s Lincoln, IL Plant continues to produce products and the only competitor able to sustain operaitons in the United States due to its leadership in reliability and productivity. At Eaton, fundamentals in Quality Assurance are found from design through distribution. Rick enjoyed his roles from the frontline making some of the world’s most reliable electrical safety products to leading factories and eventually global Master Black Belt coaching teams in High Reliability Engineering and methods. the Wall Street Journal published the article, “America’s Best Plants” highlighting Lincoln’s successes in competing on the world stage.
